What should you take a long to friends house who have said “Don’t bring anything…just yourself”. Quite often we get invited to friends homes for dinner or a BBQ…we always will take a bottle of wine (sometimes more than just the one!!!)…but it is polite to take a little gift for the hosts to show your appreciation.
Here are some ideas next time you are invited to a home for lunch or dinner:
Always take a bottle of wine, or wine gift. It is a good idea to take two; one for drinking and for the hosts to keep. Make sure you add a ribbon or something around the second bottle of wine so it looks like a gift.
Flowers or a small pot plant.
